“You can change as many times as you like during the enrollment period in the fall, however, you’ll have the option of making one switch at the beginning of next year. Between January 1 and March 31 of each year, if you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan, you have the option to change back to Original Medicare and supplement this with a Part D prescription drug plan. You can also switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan during this time. To find out more, send me a Facebook message or give my office a call.”

“If you’re already enrolled in a Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage Plan and don’t want to make any changes for next year, then you don’t need to do anything during open enrollment, as long as your current plan will still be available. However, if your plan is being discontinued and isn’t available for renewal, then you’ll receive a non-renewal notice prior to open enrollment. Have any questions? Give my office a call or send me a Facebook message.”

“Medicare Part D helps people on Medicare pay for prescription drugs. You can either choose a prescription drug plan (PDP), covering only your prescription drugs – or a Medicare Advantage plan, covering prescriptions as well as other medical expenses. With both options you’ll pay a co-pay for each prescription, a monthly premium and an annual deductible. If you have a limited income, you may qualify for financial assistance. To find out more, send me a Facebook message or give my office a call.”
